In a vibrant coral reef lived a tiny fish named Finn. Finn was the smallest of his siblings, and unlike his silver brothers and sisters, he was a bright orange. He felt different, and sometimes wished he could blend in.
One day, a grumpy grouper trapped Finn’s family in a net! Finn, small enough to squeeze through the holes, was the only one who could escape. He raced to find help.
Remembering a story about a wise hermit crab, Finn swam as fast as his fins could take him. The wise crab listened patiently and devised a plan. With a wave of his claw, he summoned a school of shimmering fish.
Finn led the shimmering shoal towards the grouper. Startled by the dazzling display, the grouper fumbled and dropped the net, freeing Finn’s family.
Finn, though small, had saved the day! He realized his bright color wasn’t something to hide, but a unique quality that helped him shine. From that day on, Finn swam proudly, his orange scales gleaming.
